About Us

Priyadarshini Rural and Integrated Association (PRIA)

Priyadarshini Rural & Integrated Association (PRIA) - A society for rural primary needs development was started in the year 1975 by a group of social activists, well-experienced social workers who are local people and very familiar with the grim socio-economic realities in Konkyanapeta Village, Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh.
The organization works for women's development and childcare and all the related economic and social fields including the establishment, maintenance, and support of educational institutions.

Our focus areas

An integrated approach to build a equitable and empowered society

Mission & Vision

OUR VISION

Our vision is the evolution of human society around the world.

OUR MISSION

We empower women at all levels to develop their natural abilities to their fullest potential and equip them to excel as leaders of their workplaces and communities across all spheres of society.

Our Programs

Women Empowerment

Gender equality remains a burning issue even when women play equally important roles in driving the rural economy in India. Women have always been facing the inequitable distribution of domestic chores besides other responsibilities such as fetching water, collecting firewood and even working in the farms. This is severely impacting their physical security, opportunities for adult education, overall productivity, income generation capacity, nutritional status, and overall health and well-being.
We provide them with access to economic opportunities and enable their participation in decision-making so that they become equal partners in the development process.

SHGs Meetings

We generally focus to cultivate a sense of self-worth among women, mainly through the development of SHGs. This is formed regularly to help women understand their responsibilities, give them economic independence, and a forum to encourage unity, and change, and to begin their livelihoods. More than 300 SHGs have been set up benefitting more than 2000 members.

Mid Day Meal Distribution

PRIA believed that the intake of food not only sustains children, it also paves the way for a healthy future. We strive to deliver nutritious meals to children who need them the most.
We provided mid-day meals as lunch to school-going children and serve meals to the frontline workers and the underprivileged, our food relief programs have a far-reaching impact on society at large.

Blanket Donation Campaign

We provided winter blankets to poor people living on the streets every winter. Our organization runs Blanket Donation Campaign, where we provide high-quality warm blankets to the underprivileged living in Srikakulam District. There is no better gift than providing warm clothing to the needy during the winter season. Many homeless experience the bitterness of winter and are at great risk of suffering from severe illnesses, but at the same time, it has allowed us to serve humanity by donating blankets to the needy.
